Frequently Asked Questions

  • A yoga mat isn't absolutely necessary to practice Kundalini yoga, but most people use one to provide padding below their body and grip for their hands and bare feet — we do not wear socks to practice.

A blanket that you can roll up and sit on or a pillow or bolster that allows you to be elevated when sitting on the floor is necessary.

  • Loose, light-colored clothing is best so that your navel isn’t constricted and you have adequate space and are comfortable enough to breathe properly.

If you want to make the most of the moment's energy, wear all white and cover your head in white.

Because Kundalini Yoga increases your awareness by helping you become more subtle, wearing white (which embodies all colors of the spectrum) is a way to deepen your experience as it expands your aura, and in turn, your energetic projection.

I have saved some options here if you want to invest in some “gear.”
