I’m not going to lie to you and say I wasn’t snooty against yogis before I actually tried yoga myself. I always thought, “What could possibly be so fulfilling about being bendy? How FOCUSED do you really get in a hot room for an hour?” I shut myself right up after my first Bikram Yoga session with my best friend a few years ago. She’d been frequenting the class for a few months and always talked about how beneficial it was to her, so I decided to try it for myself. After 90 minutes of stretching myself in ways I didn’t know I could and sweating for what seemed to be an eternity, I felt brand new. And then NWTS.
